Job Summary

Mind Cure is looking for a detail oriented, creative problem solver to assist the Product team with the most challenging questions in the product’s design. The UX Researcher will determine consumer needs by conducting primary research, exploring consumer behaviour and motivation, and working with the Product Development team in developing new product features.

Reporting to the Head of Product, the UX Researcher plays a key role in inspiring change at all stages of the product’s development through the delivery of exciting written, oral, and visual presentations about their findings. We need your enthusiasm and talent to ensure that the consumer’s experience with the product feels more intuitive, fun, accessible, and quite possibly, magical.

You will work collaboratively with a small but growing team of talented personnel to evaluate all features that contribute to the consumer’s experience, provides expertise, and on occasion, spearheads projects.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Spearhead the planning and conducting of primary and secondary user research at every stage of our product’s lifecycle, including prototype validations and usability tests.
  • Document and present actionable product research findings to team members across the organization.
  • Advocate for the product’s value as well as the value of consumer research in addressing the product’s needs.
  • Deepen internal knowledge of our customers and their needs by assisting with the creation of informed buyer and user personas.
  • Develop and represent the voice of the key subgroups in the psychedelic consumer space through thoughtful data collection and insightful observations.
  • Create wireframes, user journey maps, and other visuals to support learnings and areas of opportunity.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX Designers to develop product enhancements based on learnings.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

What Makes You an Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Economics, Marketing, or a related field
  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of statistical, qualitative and quantitative analysis, product usability moderating, experimental design, and test method selection
  • Proven experience in the integration of consumer research into a product’s design
  • Analytical and strategic-minded
  • Excellent written and in-person communication skills
  • Demonstrated creative problem solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Vibrantly autonomous and efficiently self-managed while comfortable with cross-discipline collaboration (but never afraid to ask for guidance or help from peers!)
  • Captivating and self-assured presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of technology
  • Curiosity and open-mindedness to our frontier, science-lead efforts in the psychedelics space
  • Knowledge/experience in the psychedelics space is preferred

The Details

This is a full-time, permanent position working from your home office. We offer a highly attractive home office stipend and total compensation package, commensurate with experience.
