Role Overview:

Field Trip Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team based in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Reporting to the Nurse Practitioner, you will work to the Full Scope of Practice. As a member of the Clinical team, you will be responsible for supporting and providing client care. You will also be required to assist with orientation, training, and management of care staff. Registered and licensed clinical staff are responsible for recognizing and responding to the individual needs of clients and maintaining accurate and complete documentation. You take every reasonable precaution to ensure the health and safety of clients, fellow employees, and all others in the workplace. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • General assessment of clients receiving psychedelic psychotherapy prior to treatment
  • Establishes and maintains a strong therapeutic relationship with the patients throughout the duration of treatment
  • Provides client-centered, trauma-informed mental health care as a member of the interdisciplinary team 
  • Assessment and monitoring of vital signs during treatment 
  • Administration of medication as prescribed 
  • Assist with the management of any adverse events 
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms and equipment 
  • Uphold HIPAA laws and maintain patient files and other sensitive information 
  • Participate in ongoing internal and/or external trainings and continuing education initiatives 
  • Participate in weekly team meetings 
  • Contribute to ongoing projects during clinic downtimes 


  • At least 2 years of recent clinical experience. Exceptions may be made for the right candidate 
  • Bring a mindful presence to patient care 
  • Experience working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team 
  • Integrated, lived experiences informing clinical competencies are acknowledged and welcomed 
  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with current registration in good standing with provincial licensing body 
  • CPR certification required
