Founded in 2019 and with a current team of 50, we are continuously expanding our presence throughout North America, central Europe and Australia and are constantly searching for high impact individuals in various clinical, technological and business operations domains to strengthen our team.

We are looking for a high trajectory People Operations leader to manage our personnel and build out an effective, efficient people ops organization that is in alignment with our business objectives. The ideal candidate for this role possesses a strong work ethic, knowledge of labor regulations and HR practices(both US and EU), employee life cycle management, strong organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.  

The head of people operations should improve HR policies, boost morale and employee retention, define and promote the organizational values, implement strategies that support business growth, enhance safety and wellness, and develop a world class culture for the MindMed team!

  • Responsibilities
    • Co-develop and implement People Strategy
      • Create a culture and environment that makes our team proud, productive, dedicated and diverse. We feel our utmost priority is to support personal growth, happiness and true impact, as a primary way to fulfill our mission and achieve our goals
      • We are a fully remote, global company. Own driving employees relationships buildout.
    • Own defining and strengthening of our culture
      • Work across the teams and senior leaders to clearly define our values and company culture, be proactive and concrete in initiatives and artefacts that communicate and strengthen our culture
      • Own setting up our internal Playbook – this is who we are and how we work
      • Focus at developing continuous feedback oriented and objective oriented culture 
    • Own People Journey
      • Lead and improve stellar onboarding, growth and offboarding experience
      • Actively drive people management best practices (1:1, OKRs, feedback loops, growth plans)
      • Own 360 and performance review cycle, including communication, tooling,  managerial calibrations, career and compensation frameworks reviews (cash and equity) 
      • Partner with / support people managers in key work-related situations 

    • Own People Ops Team and Global Function
      • Lead and grow our incredible people ops team
      • Work closely with our Talent team and leaders to match our recruitment strategy and flow with our broader People strategy goals
      • Own global people ops budgets
      • Partner across senior management and executives as a strong voice in pursuing our People strategy and culture

    • Own systems, processes, documentation and HR compliance
      • Design competitive compensation and benefits package  
      • HRIS, payroll, benefits
      • Policies and SOPs, team training
      • Ensure compliance with local labour laws
      • Metrics
      • Compliance/Exec team/Board reporting

    • Lead the People Ops team as a coach and collaborator on how to be effective and efficient in day-to-day execution, prioritizing our people and their experience
    • Building efficient processes and monitoring metrics

      • Building a growth performance culture that develops and promotes employees from within, establishing career/compensation ladders, establish and support review cycles, and org design
    • Independently driving projects from idea to execution
  • Requirements:
    • 7+ years experience in a people operations function
    • Experience in a start-up, fast paced environment and managing remote workers
    • Experience in procurement (budgeting, sourcing, negotiations)
    • Have been responsible for HR compliance across multiple geographic locations
    • Ability to engage with managers and leaders at all levels, as well as build overwhelming momentum among teams
    • Experience with rapid international team buildout and it’s challenges in a remote environment
    • Knowledge and understanding of US, EU labor laws and employment systems
